Poliana was imported
as a foal in 1991from Germany, by Straloch Bavarian warmblood
stud in Aberdeenshire. As a 9 year old she was Reserve Champion
at the Annual Bavarian show held at Straloch in 2000, competing
in all disciplines dressage, show-jumping and riding. When entered
for the Riding Horse Class, Poliana got 8 for her type by the
highly respected experienced judge Dr Senkenburg manager of the
Bavarian state stud in Schwaiganger. She has accumulated 74 British
Dressage points. Poliana qualified on numerous occasions for
dressage regional finals, and had just started doing Medium work
with ease.
Polianas much sought after breeding
line Raueck I x Ultimo. Raueck I was the most pre-eminent stallion
son of Rasso(westfalion), who virtually revolutionised Bavarian
horse breeding. One of the most famous is the state premium mare
Cleopatra, Polianas half sister, she has bred 4 sons the most
famous being Lord Sinclair I , he broke all price records for
riding horse auctions around the world, and noteably Lord Sinclair
II & III, and Luke Skywalker. Poliana not only has
the great R line Ramiro Rasso but also carries the famous G line
Grande in her breeding, which are both gaining recognition due
to the revival of the older more traditional Hanoverian bloodlines.
These lines are appearing more often in the proven super stars.
