Suleika
1987 Black Bavarian Mare

Suleika is a very elegant black Bavarian mare with an exquisite
head, and undoubtedly a leader amongst horses an alpha mare.
She is very quiet and extremely respected by her companions.
She won her performance test in 1994 and is double branded by
the British Bavarian Warmblood Association. She has been part
of our lives for the last 20 years and in particular doesnt show
her age. Her sire being the Bavarian champion of the approval
and performance test in 1985 Santa Klaus who is by the influential
famous Trakehner stallion Santiago who was the champion stallion
at the Trakehner approval at Neumunster in 1980. Another noteable
sire on the paternal line is Salonika a descendant of the powerful
show jumpers line of Semper Idem. On the maternal side you have
the traditional Hanoverian Senator line much sought after with
the recognition of Salinero Anky Van Grunsven winner at the Olympics
2004. (As a matter of fact Salinero looks remarkably like Suleika)
Suleika has BSJA winnings and competed cross-country.
She is a confident mare, very safe and bold ride.
Suleika
has bred 5 foals to date all much sought after, her first being
Sonder a black filly who has been in the same home for over 10
years and represented Area 22 at the Nationals at Stoneleigh
on numerous occasions. She is a very versatile useful riding
horse capable of all three disciplines, plus she hunts on a regular
basis and loves it.
